The Hunter Douglas Design Studio™

In 2019, Hunter Douglas launched the Design Studio to offer customers a new way to fully customize their windows with drapery, side panels, and Roman and roller shades. Consumers have nearly endless options and can coordinate with existing Hunter Douglas products to very easily achieve unique and customized window looks. Customers can select from a wide range of textiles, including from the acclaimed Featured Artist series, of which Marcie Bronkar’s patterns are a part. Even design novices can feel comfortable in the Design Studio, which offers numerous complementary and coordinating pairing suggestions in their folios of fabrics. You can choose from folios titled “all about white,” “gray infinity,” “harvest comfort,” or “seaside retreat,” or look to the unique offerings of Featured Artists like Marcie and Rebecca Atwood.

About the Marcie Bronkar Collection

Marcie has designed seven different textiles exclusively for Hunter Douglas. She noted, “While creating my collection for Hunter Douglas, I relied on the premise that natural light can and will enhance the texture and dimension of these textiles when brought into the home.” All of Marcie’s fabrics are available as drapery, side panels, roller and Roman shades, accessories, and Fabric by the Yard. The line includes:

  • Amaryllis—vintage batik-inspired fabrics.
  • Laurel—inspired by a Mexican pottery piece, offering an organic feel and a sense of movement.
  • Menagerie—named after a Jacobean period design, but translated to a modern aesthetic.
  • Oleander—paisley-inspired fabric that versatilely complements both formal and playful design.
  • August—a simple yet elegant lightweight silk that’s embroidered to add a finishing touch.
  • Lily—modern yet classic, with a soft, free-flowing pattern fairly dances across the fabric.
  • Grand Fleur—inspired by 17th-century fabrics but chain-stitched for a fresh approach.

These fabrics are available to order now, so be sure to speak with a representative to see them in person and to determine how best to add them to your home’s design.
